TCDA - International Ballet Festival is excited to collaborate with the "Lumina Festival of the Arts", presented by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
TCDA - IBF dancers will be performing at the Kenan Theatre on July 29, 2017, and Faculty members will be holding Master-Classes & Lectures at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Dancers wishing to be considered for a pre-selected choreography to be performed at the Festival, should submit a video-link on the registration form no later than May 1, 2017. Dancers will be informed if their piece has been selected by June 1, 2017.
Kenan Auditorium will host the TCDA - International Ballet Festival, jazz concerts, a Poetry Jam with performance poets from NC, a concert by Wilmington’s Dance Cooperative, and summer Family Arts Matinee series. As well, it will host two free outdoor film screenings at campus locations.
The Festival will incorporate an annual summer production by Opera Wilmington with guest artists performing as soloists and with the orchestra, and a theater production with professional guest actors, and recital concert performances.
